The Motives

• The timing of 9/11 was just too politically convenient. On 2001-09-10, the day before 9/11, Rumsfeld had just confessed that $2.3 trillion was missing from the Department of Defense.
  “We cannot track $2.3 in transactions.”

  That’s $32000.00 USD stolen from every family in America. This is was the largest embezzlement in human history. This massive political embarrassment/scandal was forgotten in the smoke of 9/11.
• His ratings in the polls shot way up. It eventually lead to Republicans getting control of both houses.
• It temporarily diverted attention from the Enron scandal.
• It destroyed evidence in the Enron scandal that was stored in the World Trade Building.
• It gave him an excuse to invade Afghanistan.
• It gave him an excuse to invade Iraq. He managed to hornswoggle the American public into thinking Saddam was responsible for 9/11 when there was no evidence at all linking him.
• It destroyed evidence of some suspect financial transactions.

• The drug trade. The Afghanistan heroin trade suppressed by the Taliban was revived to the #1 position in the world.
• Ashcroft was able to shred the constitution and impose his weird ideas of Christian morality on others. Republicans are enacting legislation to put those who demonstrate against them in jail for life without possibility of parole, all supposedly as an anti-terrorist measure.
• Unocal. Afghanistan pipeline. Ex-Unocal men are the ambassador (Zalmai Khalilzad), envoy (John J. Maresca) and dictator (Hamid Karzai) of Afghanistan.
• Israel. America fought a proxy war on Iraq by falsely blaming 9/11 on Iraq.
• Shell, Halliburton (Cheney’s company) and Bechtel. They all have blank cheques to raid the Iraqi treasury while they rebuild Iraq. Other oil companies such as Chevron will likely insist at a spot at the trough of Iraqi oil too.
• Defence contractors. Military spending zoomed. 9/11 put America in a war-like mood. Wars mean money for defence suppliers.
