TrackPoint
IBM’s mouseless mouse they use on Think Pad Laptops. A little red button nestles between the G H and B keys. You push it, like a miniature joystick, in any direction to move the mouse in that same direction. To click, you use the two red-striped button at the base of the keyboard. The click keys can slide into a locked position to prevent accidental clicking.

Why not a regular mouse? You don’t need any extra surface to run the mouse on, just your lap, as would be the case in a cramped airline seat. They also can be useful for those with shaky hands. You take your time getting the mouse where you want it the click. Unlike a regular mouse, you can be sure the cursor won’t move if your hands tremble in the interim.
