Webalizer : Java Glossary

Webalizer
A free program for analysing the logs of traffic to your website. It takes the text logs and coverts them into HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and png graphs. It gives you statistics about hits, visitor, files downloaded, bytes served, what countries people are calling from, traffic by time of day, daily and monthly volumes, who is referring hits to your site, what browsers people are using etc. It is written in C and is designed to run on pretty well anything with minimal fuss. It supports the Apache Common log file format, wu-ftpd xferlog FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and squid log formats. Using it, I discovered only 2% of the traffic to this mindprod.com site originates from my native country Canada, and that the site is equally active 24 hours a day. I discovered Firefox and Opera are the two favoured browsers.
