Collection Spy : Java Glossary

Collection Spy  Collection Spy
A specialised profiler for monitoring Collections, e.g. HashMap, ArrayList, Map, List, Set or Queue. Runtime analysis rules detect bugs and usage anti-patterns that are impossible to detect by classic static code analysis using tools like CheckStyle, PMD or even FindBugs. You can monitor HashCode distributions. You can monitor the current state of all your Collections in real time. Monitor which threads are using which Collections to track tricky concurrency bugs. Detect mutated keys. Works standalone or with Eclipse, NetBeans or Intellij IDEs. It is quite expensive and locked to a particular MAC (Media Access Control) address. This is largely the work of Laurence Vanhelsuwé of Software Pearls, the author a number of well-known Java text books.
