Statement
In JDBC (Java Data Base Connectivity), you can pass an SQL (Standard Query Language) query or command in a Statement object. A PreparedStatement object is a Statement that also supports passing parameters to the query. A CallableStatement is a PreparedStatement that also supports retrieving output parameters back from the query.
