The DOS-only application used to sign Applets to let them bypass the security restrictions of the Internet Explorer’s sandbox. Here are its parameters:
You also need abarc.exe, chktrust, signer.dll and javasign.dll.

jarsigner is the Sun JDK 1.3/1.4 analog of signcode.

In 2003, Microsoft has changed the ways cab files are signed. You now use Microsoft signtool instead of signcode. I don’t know how compatible it is with the old way of Authenticode signing Java Applets.

You can no longer download the MS JVM. I think it is time the MS JVM and the Authenicode signing scheme were buried and forgotten. Ask your IE users to install the Sun Java JRE.
