The Semantic Web is a vision of the Internet to correct that.
What we need are tools that understand context. We need structured data that are more friendly to computer analysis. This requires the world to agree on common formats of storing information that are more amenable to automated analysis. It is distressing how feeble the attempts at standardisation are. Human ego, not technology, is the problem. It may be long slow struggle to make knowledge accessible.
