PKI
PKI (Public Key Infrastructure). A PKI is an infrastructure that manages a public key crpytography environment. It issues and manages public and private keys and certificates, the trust relationships between users, etc. These certificates and keys can be used for number of things, including strong certificate-based authentication, data encryption and signing, etc. For a more detailed answer, you can check out iWord’s essay or Entrust’s essay.
