Oasis
The organisation that invented WSS (Web Services Security) a digital signing scheme for SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) messages. It does not require a shared secret key the way HMAC (Hashed Message Authentication Code) does. It is public/private key scheme based on X.509 certificates.
