The Netscape browser had a mascot, a Godzilla-like lizard called Mozilla. The company that distributes Netscape open source code is called Mozilla. The Mozilla browser itself is dead ended. It is replaced by Firefox (a pure browser), and Sea Monkey (which does browsing, newsgroup, composing and IRC (Inter Relay Chat)) and Thunderbird (a pure mail reader). I no longer have Mozilla installed on my machine.
