from Apache is free, pure-Java mailserver. It supports the Maillet API (Application Programming Interface), something like JavaMail for writing email applications such as spam blocking and relaying.

There is also an unrelated product servlet womb from VPRO formerly called JavaHTTPD, now defunct.
