JAAS
JAAS (Java Authentication and Authorisation Service) is a Java package that enables services to authenticate and enforce access controls on users. The application need not know the details of how logon authorisation in performed at any given installation. You can control a program based on where the code originated (e.g. who signed it) and also on who is running it.
