A set of servers on the web that let you remain anonymous. By default the owners of servers are anonymous too. They communicate via a special encrypted protocol called Tor. To access it, you need the Tor browser.

It is primarily for criminal enterprise. However, it is also used by people living in repressive regimes to let them express themselves anonymously and freely without being killed.

The CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) will still be able to track you. Tor uses the same hardware as the standard Internet. It is just that it will slow them down.
