CocoBase : Java Glossary

CocoBase
Thought Inc’s bridge from the object world of Java to the relational table world of SQL (Standard Query Language). You can think of it as a more Javaesque JDBC (Java Data Base Connectivity). The embedding of SQL in Java is much more elegant than in raw JDBC. CocoBase comes in four pieces CocoPowder, CocoButter, CocoBeans and CocoNibs. CocoPowder lets you store and retrieve Java objects via JDBC. CocoPowder manages an Object Schema that parallels the relational one and generates SQL. CocoBeans provides CORBA-compliance. CocoNibs adds 3-tier RMI (Remote Method Invocation).
