Btrieve : Java Glossary

I have left this tombstone entry for historical interest.
Btrieve
Was a B-tree indexed file access API (Application Programming Interface) that dates back to the DOS (Disk Operating System) days. It was originally created by the Btrieve corporation, then taken over by Novell, then taken back by Btrieve and handled by Pervasive then dropped. It lived on as an API to their SQL (Standard Query Language) database which still uses the same basic indexing engine. I used it in Abundance.

If you disagree with something I said, especially when sending an ad-hominem attack, a rant composed mainly of obscenities or a death threat, please quote the offending passage and cite the web page where you found it, tell me why you think it is wrong, and, if possible, provide some supporting evidence. I can’t very well fix erroneous or ambiguous text if I can’t find it.
