Authenticode : Java Glossary

Authenticode

A type of code-siging certificate used by Microsoft to digitally sign .net applications and also used to digitially sign PAD (Portable Application Description) xml files. It is analogous to Java code signing certificates used to sign Java jars with jarsigner.exe. It can also be used to sign executables written in C/C++.

You can buy such certificates from GlobalSign, Ksoftware, Thawte, DigiCert, Certs4Less, Comodo, Verisign.
