HAART
HAART (Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy) Use of a cocktail of drugs to treat HIV (Human Imumuno-deficiency Virus), usually including one or more drugs from each of the families, namely a protease inhibitor, a NARTI (Nucleoside Analog Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitor), a NNRTI (Non-Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitor), and possibly an NRTI (Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitor) .

There are two new classes of drugs coming out in 2009 that will help those whose HIV has developed immunity to the standard drugs.
