NARTI: NARTI (Nucleoside Analog Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitor). An HIV (Human Immuno-deficiency Virus) drug family. The odd name refers the biochemical mechanism it used to fight the HIV virus. The NARTI family includes AZT, DDI (Didanosine), ddC, Abacavir (Ziagen), 3TC (Lamivudine) and D4T (stavudine).
