Hey Roedy Green.

I read Eviedence the Bible is True, and it seems to me that your comments are empty and have no backing.

Are you referring to an email I published from Joann Krueger that she titled Evidence the Bible is True? I take it you have not yet read my essay on the subject of why the bible cannot possibly be true. I use arguments from physics to disprove the Noah myth, complete with mathematical formulae. There is a link to it from the Krueger letter.

If you want to sound like you know what you are talking about you need to back your facts up with evidence, scientific knowledge and scripture so that you look like you know what you are talking about. At the moment it reads like you are whining, complaining and being opinionated about the Bible. It sounds like you are angry at the Bible or at God. If you want to sound profeesional you must write as though you are not emotionally tied to the topic, like the original author did.

Whether I am emotional about Kristians foisting their lies on everyone has nothing whatsover to do with the truth or falsehood of their assertions. It is hard to hide my contempt for people like you who offer not a single logical argument in your favour. You use only ad hominem logical fallacies which are completely beside the point of whether the bible is true.

You also need to study the Bible carefully and as a whole before you can make those kinds of comments.

I have read it cover to cover, something very few Kristians have done. Have a look at my bible study guide which points you to some of the strange things I found.

Clearly you do feel emotionally tied to this topic of whether God, or the Bible is real, and I suggest you look more closely at the topic, without letting the world tell you what is right or wrong.

Of course I am emotional! In the 1970’s, you Kristians used to threaten my life an average of three time a day and made about 300 abusive phone calls each day just because I was gay and was fighting for equality. Kristians are to gays what Nazis are to Jews. It is not as though your false and irrational beliefs affect no one but yourselves. You Kristians are behind all the bigotry to deny me equal civil rights. What is so infuriating is that Kristian persecution of gays is motivated by myth — hot air, in other words. The way I chose combat the bigotry is to attack the root, the biblical myths (aka lies) that support it.
