Enter your birthdate and this Applet and it will calculate your biorhythms. It computes your 23-day physical, 28-day emotional, 33-day intellectual and combined cycles. The combined cycle is sometimes called the luck cycle. The theory of biorhythms is when the cycles are positive/high you will have high energy. When they are negative/low you will have low energy. When they are zero or critical, you will have unstable energy. The Biorhythm Calculator is also available with Java source to download. Sorry, you need Java 1.1+ to run this Applet.

If, bio, the above Biorhythms Calculator Java Applet (that can also be run as an application) does not work…

  1. This Java Applet (that can also be run as an application) needs Java 1.1 or later, version 1.6.0_17 recommended and a recent browser.
  2. You should see the Applet hybrid above looking much like the screenshot. If you don’t, the following should help you get it working:
  3. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, try another browser. Seriously. Microsoft has taken great pains, over and over, to screw up Java and every other multi-platform standardisation.
  4. If you are using Internet Explorer 7 or 8, you must allow blocked content permission for Active X to run. This also gives permission to Java to run. Click the Information bar, and then click Allow blocked content. Unfortunately, this also allows dangerous ActiveX code to run. However, you must do this in order to get access to perfectly-safe Java Applets running in a sandbox. This is part of Microsoft’s war on Java. Don’t put up with it! Use a different browser.
  5. Especially if this Applet hybrid has worked before, try clearing the browser cache and rebooting.
  6. To ensure your Java is up to date, check with Wassup. First, download it and run it as an application independent of your browser, then run it online as an Applet to add the complication of your browser.
  7. If the above Applet hybrid does not work, check the Java console for error messages.
  8. If the above Applet hybrid does not work, you might have better luck with the downloadable version.
  9. If you still can’t get the program working click HELP for more detail.

Because scientists have found that your biological clock is set into motion the moment you are born, your personal biorhythm chart is based on your date of birth.”
Then there are those that say biorythmns are http://skepdic.com/biorhyth.htmlpseudoscientific hooey. I tend to fall in this camp myself. I find it hard to imagine the human clock would stay in sync that accurately life long when it can’t even get the menstrual cycle that regular which has the moon to help it stay in sync. Then again some fish and corals have extremely accurate internal clocks.

An Explanation of this Chart

When a rhythm is at a high level (top), a person will be able to perform better for activities related to that high rhythm. Conversely, when a rhythm is low (bottom), it may be more difficult to carry out activities related to the low rhythm. When 2 or 3 rhythms reach a low or high together, the effect is stronger than for separate highs or lows. Crossing the middle line is regarded as a ‘critical’ or potentially ‘unstable’ time.

First install the most recent Java.

To install, extract the zip download with WinZip, (or similar unzip utility) into any directory you please, often J:\ — ticking off the “user folder names” option.

To check out the corresponding source from the Subversion repository, use the TortoiseSVN repo-browser to
access bio source in repository with [Tortoise] Subversion client on wush.net/svn/mindprod/com/mindprod/bio/.

After you have installed the jar, you can run it as an application. Type:

java -jar J:\com\mindprod\bio\bio.jar

adjusting as necessary to account for where the jar file is.
