Hooker
The word Hooker conjures up a prostitute on a street corner in shepherd drag, carrying a crook to snaffle customers. However, the etymology comes from quite a different source. A group of women followed soldiers lead by American General Hooker. The women were partly motivated by money but mostly by a patriotic desire to lift the spirits of the soldiers. Presumbably, there were some male Hookers as well. Though the word hooker is currently used in a disparaging way, I think Hooker should have a positive connotation using a capital H to remind people of its original meaning.
