Refusal to Sacrifice For Children

There is something peculiar going on with this generation of Americans. They don’t care that much about their kids. Even insects, cephalopods and rodents will make huge sacrifices for the next generation. Today’s Americans will not. What sort of world are they leaving their grandchildren?

• Every child is born with a share of massive public debt. Parents party and grandkids are stuck with the tab.
• Decrepit infrastructure.
• Polluted because parents would make no sacrifices at all to avoid turning the planet into a toilet.
• Unlivable climate because parents would not inconvenience themselves in the least from gushing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
• They resent spending on schools or health care for their children.
