Hidden God

God being thus hidden, any religion that does not say God is hidden is not true, and any religion that does not explain why [God is hidden] does not instruct.

God is far more than hidden; God is undetectable. We know that hidden, but detectable things like neutrinos exist. However, unicorns are both hidden and undetectable, so there is no reason of any kind to claim they are real. Unicorns are thus creatures of fiction, like gods. I will leave out the complication of undetectable particles mathematically predicted to exist.
