|Hitchens likes to shock and entertain. In this book, he lets other people speak such as Lucretius, Shelley, John Stuart Mill, George Eliot, Mark Twain, H.L. Mencken, Albert Einstein, Bertrand Russell, Carl Sagan, Penn Jillette, Salman Rushdie, Sam Harris, Ayaan Hisi Ali. I was surprised to discover what meandering, opaque windbags so many of these respected early writers were, like Hobbes, Hume and Marx and how addicted they were to meaningless abstractions.|
