Camping was one of the greatest scam artists of all time. He pulled this exact same scam four times, publicly, claiming with absolute certainty that the world was ending 1994-09-06, 2011-05-21 and 2011-10-21 each time convincing the gullible to send him millions of dollars of their worthless money. It is amazing what nonsense Christians will believe just because someone says the bible says so, even when they can’t quote the verse.
