“Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves … politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves… The country is theirs, because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their view we want to take away from them their country. … Behind the terrorism [by the Arabs] is a movement, which though primitive is not devoid of idealism and self sacrifice.”
~ David Ben Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel 1948-1963, Quoted on pp 91-2 of Chomsky’s Fateful Triangle, which appears in Simha Flapan’s Zionism and the Palestinians pp 141-2 citing a 1938 speech.

Settling on Arab Lands Take Action

Introduction

“We are doomed to co-exist.”
~ Henry Kissinger
h that world leaders figured that expelling Jews to a desert in the middle east would be the best way to deal with them. Fuelled by religious righteousness, the Jewish people believed they still had title on the land that is now called Israel, and marched in with guns and took over, stealing the lands from the Palestinians who had lived there for over 1000 years.

I consider this the stupidest political decision of the 20th century. It was bound to lead to never-ending conflict. However, it is too late now to undo.

We in the west only hear the Jewish side of the conflict in Israel. I am not going to repeat that here. You have already seen the many horrible photos of mangled shoppers or young people in discotheques killed by Palestinian suicide bombers. The coverage is unbalanced enough without me adding my voice to the condemnations of the acts of Arab terrorism. I don’t condone the Arab terroism; it is just that more than enough focus has been put on Arab violence and none at all on Israeli atrocities and none on the reasons for the Arab violence. I am going to present the side you may have not heard before.

The USA is firmly in the Jewish camp. 1/3 of America’s foreign aid goes to Israel, in the form of weapons and equipment to institute apartheid and suppress the Palestinians. Israel is a relatively prosperous nation. They boasted a $1500000000.00 USD surplus in 2005. Yet oddly the USA treats them as the most deserving third world country that needs to be coddled.

Israel has embarked on a program of genocide of its Palestinian citizens. It is similar to the one Hitler embarked on to eliminate the Jews. Unlike the Jews who went meekly to their doom, the Palestinians have fought back. Unfortunately, about the only weapon an impoverished people have is suicide bomb, which kills primarily the relatively innocent Israeli civilians, not those orchestrating the genocide.

If you would have cheered the Jews using suicide bombs in desperation against the Nazis, then surely you could understand, though not necessarily condone the Palestinian use of suicide bombs against Jewish citizens of Israel.

Israel has decided it wants a pure Jewish state, much as the Nazis wanted a pure Aryan state. The government of Israel is using the same tactics as the Nazis namely apartheid, ghettos, restricting movement, confiscating property without compensation, lock downs, expelling and killing. Almost no news of this reaches the west, and suprisingly even the average Israeli citizen hears little. All they hear are reports about the suicide bombers. The west paint the suicide bombers as crazy people usually religious fanatics, rather than as desperate people pressed into a corner with no other option of self defence.

Israel has nationalised some 93% of the country’s lands, by appropriating land without compensation from the four million Palestinian refugees who live in exile and by confiscating the lands of the one million Palestinians who live as citizens.

“If power corrupts, the reverse is also true; persecution corrupts the victims though perhaps in subtler and more tragic ways.”
~ Arthur Koestler
Just as children who are abused often go on to abuse their own children in exactly the same way they were abused, the Jewish people have gone on to recreate the horrors of their own abuse at the hands of the Nazis. You would think they would be the last people on earth to behave like Nazis, but that is not how it works. If humans can’t take their fury out on their persecutors, they will take it out on someone else weak enough to persecute.

Just like Nazis, the Jews have convinced themselves they are justified in their persecution because of their racial superiority and because the Palestinians are a threat to them. Of course now the Palestinians are a threat. Palestinians don’t take kindly to being evicted from their ancestral lands or genocide.

The odd things in the USA claims it wants peace in the middle east, but keeps pouring gasoline on the fire with its bias and lavish funding of the Israeli apartheid. If it wanted, it could cool things down by reducing the flow of weaponry into Israel and treating both sides with scrupulous impartiality.

Israel has militarily occupied the territories it captured in the 1967 war, thumbing its nose at he UN resolution demanding it withdraw. Israelis keeps the Palestinians in lockdown 1/3 of the time, so that they can’t go to work, buy groceries, or get to a hospital. It has bulldozed their homes and orchards. It has suffocated the economy so that 2/3 of people cannot find work.

Quotations

Given the one-sided view of the conflict you hear in the west, you probably think all the evil in the conflict comes from the Palestinians. This selection of quotations will show the Jewish side are not all sweetness and light either.

Desire For Peace

“We can forgive you for killing our children, but we can never forgive you for making us kill your children.”
~ Golda Meir, Prime Minister of Israel, 1969-1974, 1973 to Egyptian President Sadat. This is insane thinking. She was obligated to protect Israeli children, but killing innocent Arab children did utterly nothing to that end; it just creates more justification to kill more Israeli children. Are Iraqis obligated to kill American children just because American soldiers have killed Iraqi children? Are you obligated to kill the family of a serial killer? That is crazy thinking. Killing children is pure emotional vengeance. Nobody made her kill children. She freely chose evil. The killing did nothing at all toward defense.

“There is no ceasefire. There will not be any ceasefire.”
~ Ehud Olmert, acting Prime Minister of Israel 2006-

“The Palestinians are like crocodiles, the more you give them meat, they want more.”
Ehud Barak, Prime Minister Of Israel 1999-2001, 2000-08-28, Reported in the Jerusalem Post 2000-08-30.

“The Partition of Palestine is illegal. It will never be recognized… Jerusalem was and will for ever be our capital. Eretz Israel will be restored to the people of Israel. All of it. And for Ever.”
~ Menachem Begin, Prime Minister of Israel 1977-1983, the day after the U.N. vote to partition Palestine.

“This country exists as the fulfillment of a promise made by God Himself. It would be ridiculous to ask it to account for its legitimacy.”
~ Golda Meir, Prime Minister of Israel 1969-1974, Le Monde, 1971-10-15

“If I was an Arab leader I would never make [peace] with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country.”
~ David Ben Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel 1948-1963, quoted in The Jewish Paradox, by Nahum Goldmann, Weidenfeld and Nicolson, 1978, p. 99.

“I would have joined a terrorist organization.”
~ Ehud Barak, Prime Minister Of Israel 1999-2001, in response to Gideon Levy, a columnist for the Ha’aretz newspaper, when Barak was asked what he would have done if he had been born a Palestinian.

“We should prepare to go over to the offensive. Our aim is to smash Lebanon, Trans-Jordan, and Syria. The weak point is Lebanon, for the Moslem regime is artificial and easy for us to undermine. We shall establish a Christian state there, and then we will smash the Arab Legion, eliminate Trans-Jordan; Syria will fall to us. We then bomb and move on and take Port Said, Alexandria and Sinai.”
~ David Ben Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel 1948-1963, 1948-05, to the General Staff. From Ben-Gurion, A Biography, by Michael Ben-Zohar, Delacorte, New York 1978.

“If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?”
~ David Ben Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel 1948-1963, 1948-06

“In strategic terms, the settlements (in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza) are of no importance.”
~ Binyamin Begin, son of the late Menahem Begin and a prominent voice in the Likud party writing in 1991. (Quoted in Findley, Deliberate Deceptions; p 159) Paul Findley notes that Begin added that their importance was that “they constitute an obstacle, an insurmountable obstacle to the establishment of an independent Arab State west of the river Jordan.”

Racism

“It would be better to drown these prisoners in the Dead Sea if possible, since that’s the lowest point in the world.”
~ Avigdor Lieberman, 2003-07-07

“The establishment of such a school is a foul, disgraceful deed. You can’t mix pure and foul. They are a disease, a disaster, a devil. The Arabs are asses, and the question must be asked, why did God did not create them walking on their fours? The answer is that they need to build and wash. They have no place in our school.”
~ Rabbi David Bazri speaking about a proposed integrated school in Israel.

“[The Palestinians] are beasts walking on two legs.”
~ Menachem Begin, Prime Minister of Israel 1977-1983, speech to the Knesset, quoted in Amnon Kapeliouk, Begin and the Beasts New Statesman, 1982-06-25

“Is Zionism racism? I would say yes. It’s a policy that to me looks like it has very many parallels with racism. The effect is the same. Whether you call it that or not is in a sense irrelevant.”
~ Desmond Tutu, South African Archbishop

“One million Arabs are not worth a Jewish fingernail.”
~ Rabbi Ya’acov Perin in his eulogy at the funeral of mass murderer Dr. Baruch Goldstein (Cited in the New York Times, 1994-02-28)

“Israeli lives are worth more than Palestinian ones.”
~ Ehud Olmert, acting Prime Minister of Israel 2006- 2006-06-23

“There is no such thing as a Palestinian people… It is not as if we came and threw them out and took their country. They didn’t exist.”
~ Golda Meir, Prime Minister of Israel 1969-1974, Statement to The Sunday Times, 1969-06-15

“How can we return the occupied territories? There is nobody to return them to.”
~ Golda Meir Prime Minister of Israel 1969-1974, (quoted in Chapter 13 of The Zionist Connection II: What Price Peace by Alfred Lilienthal )

Expulsion Of the Arabs

“We must expel Arabs and take their places.“
~ David Ben Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel 1948-1963, 1937, Ben Gurion and the Palestine Arabs, Oxford University Press, 1985.

“Israel should have exploited the repression of the demonstrations in China, when world attention focused on that country, to carry out mass expulsions among the Arabs of the territories.”
Benyamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel then Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister, speaking to students at Bar Ilan University, from the Israeli journal Hotam, 1989-11-24.

“It must be clear that there is no room for both peoples in this country. If the Arabs leave the country, it will be broad and wide-open for us. If the Arabs stay, the country will remain narrow and miserable. The only solution is Israel without Arabs. There is no room for compromise on this point. The Zionist enterprise so far… has been fine and good in its own time, and could do with ‘land buying’ — but this will not bring about the State of Israel; that must come all at once, in the manner of a Salvation [this is the secret of the Messianic idea]; and there is no way besides transferring the Arabs from here to the neighboring countries, to transfer them all; except maybe for Bethlehem, Nazareth and Old Jerusalem, we must not leave a single village, not a single tribe. And only with such a transfer will the country be able to absorb millions of our brothers, and the Jewish question shall be solved, once and for all.”
~ Joseph Weitz, Directory of the Jewish National Land Fund, 1940-12-19, The Question of Palestine by Edward Said.

“… we have no solution, that you shall continue to live like dogs, and whoever wants to can leave — and we will see where this process leads? In five years we may have 200,000 less people — and that is a matter of enormous importance.”
~ Moshe Dayan Defense Minister of Israel 1967-1974, encouraging the transfer of Gaza strip refugees to Jordan (from Noam Chomsky’s Deterring Democracy, 1992, p.434, quoted in Nur Masalha’s A Land Without A People, 1997 p.92).

“It is the duty of Israeli leaders to explain to public opinion, clearly and courageously, a certain number of facts that are forgotten with time. The first of these is that there is no Zionism, colonization or Jewish State without the eviction of the Arabs and the expropriation of their lands.”
~ Yoram Bar Porath, Yediot Aahronot, 1972-08-14, responding to public controversy regarding the Israeli evictions of Palestinians in Rafah, Gaza, in 1972. (Cited in Nur Masalha’s A land Without A People 1997, p98).

“We walked outside, Ben Gurion accompanying us. Allon repeated his question, What is to be done with the Palestinian population?' Ben-Gurion waved his hand in a gesture which said 'Drive them out!'”
~ Yitzhak Rabin, Prime Minister of Irael 1974-1977 and 1992-1995, leaked Rabin memoirs, published in the New York Times, 1979-10-23

“There are some who believe that the non-Jewish population, even in a high percentage, within our borders will be more effectively under our surveillance; and there are some who believe the contrary, i.e., that it is easier to carry out surveillance over the activities of a neighbor than over those of a tenant. [I] tend to support the latter view and have an additional argument:…the need to sustain the character of the state which will henceforth be Jewish…with a non-Jewish minority limited to 15 percent. I had already reached this fundamental position as early as 1940 [and] it is entered in my diary.”
~ Joseph Weitz, head of the Jewish Agency’s Colonization Department. From Israel: an Apartheid State by Uri Davis, p.5.

“We shall try to spirit the penniless population across the border by procuring employment for it in the transit countries, while denying it any employment in our own country…. expropriation and the removal of the poor must be carried out discreetly and circumspectly.”
~ Theodore Herzl The founder of Zionism, (from Rafael Patai, Ed. The Complete Diaries of Theodore Herzl, Vol I)

“In our country there is room only for the Jews. We shall say to the Arabs: Get out! If they don’t agree, if they resist, we shall drive them out by force.”
~ Professor Ben-Zion Dinur, Israel’s First Minister of Education, 1954, from History of the Haganah

On the eve of yet another round of peace talks with US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has invited the leader of the Moledet Party to join his coalition government. The Moledet (Homeland) Party is not just another far-right Zionist grouping. Its founding principle, as stated in its charter, is the call to transfer Arabs out of “Eretz Israel”: [the land of Israel in Hebrew is Eretz Yisrael] “The sure cure for the demographic ailment is the transfer of the Arabs to Arab countries as an aim of any negotiations and a way to solve the Israeli-Arab conflict over the land of Israel.“ By Arabs, the Modelet Party means not only the Palestinians of the West Bank and Gaza: its members also seek to “cleanse” Israel of its Palestinian Arab citizens. And by “demographic ailment”, the Modelet means not only the presence of Arabs in Israel’s midst, but also the “troubling high birth rate” of the Arab population.
~ Al-Ahram Weekly On-line 1998-04-30.. 1998-05-06 Issue No.375

Genocide

“The Arabs will have to go, but one needs an opportune moment for making it happen, such as a war.”
~ David Ben Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel 1948-1963, writing to his son, 1937

“Anything moving in the zone, even a three year old, needs to be killed.”
~ The Israeli Captain R. who murdered 13-year old Imam Al-Hamas, 2004-11-04.

“If we thought that instead of 200 Palestinian fatalities, 2,000 dead would put an end to the fighting at a stroke, we would use much more force…”
Ehud Barak, Prime Minister Of Israel 1999-2001, quoted in Associated Press, 2000-11-16.

“(The Palestinians) would be crushed like grasshoppers… heads smashed against the boulders and walls.”
~ Yitzhak Shamir Prime Minister of Israel 1983-1982, in a speech to Jewish settlers New York Times 1988-04-01

“We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population.”
~ David Ben Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel 1948-1963, 1948-05, to the General Staff. From Ben-Gurion, A Biography, by Michael Ben-Zohar, Delacorte, New York 1978.

“If I’m sorry for anything, it is for not tearing the whole camp down… No one (in the Israeli army) expressed any reservations against doing it… I found joy with every house that came down… I have no mercy… I say if a man has done nothing, don’t touch him. A man who has done something, hang him, as far as I am concerned. Even a pregnant woman — shoot her without mercy, if she has a terrorist behind her. This is the way I thought in Jenin…”
~ bulldozer operator at the Palestinian camp at Jenin, reported in Yedioth Ahronoth, 2002-05-31 To see that same event from the Palestinian perspective click to watch.

“All those now living in South Lebanon are terrorists who are related in some way to Hizb’allah.”
~ Haim Ramon, Israeli Justice Minister, explaining why it was OK for Israel to target children in Lebanon. Hans Frank was the Justice Minister in Hitler’s cabinet.

“One of the major problems with Israeli democracy is that it has no constitutional guarantees of human rights. To my knowledge it’s the only functioning democracy without such provision.”
~ Asa Kasher, Israeli philosopher

“[Three quarters of a million young people who have served in the IDF] know that the task of the army is not only to defend the state in the battlefield against a foreign army, but to demolish the rights of innocent people just because they are Araboushim living in territories that God promised to us.”
Yaram Peri, in Davar, 1982-12-10. academic specialist on Israeli affairs. Araboushim is Israeli slang that is roughly equivalent to niggers or kikes.

“Defending the occupation has done to the American Pro-Israel community, what living as an occupier has done to Israel — muddied both its moral compass and its rational self-interest compass.”
~ Daniel Levy, Ha’aretz, former adviser to Ehud Barak

“I vow that if I was just an Israeli civilian and I met a Palestinian I would burn him and I would make him suffer before killing him.”
~ Ariel Sharon, Prime Minister of Israel 2001-2006, magazine Ouze Merham in 1956. Disputed as to whether this is genuine.

“Even today I am willing to volunteer to do the dirty work for Israel, to kill as many Arabs as necessary, to deport them, to expel and burn them, to have everyone hate us, to pull the rug from underneath the feet of the Diaspora Jews, so that they will be forced to run to us crying. Even if it means blowing up one or two synagogues here and there, I don’t care.”
~ Ariel Sharon, Prime Minister of Israel 2001-2006, daily Davar, 1982-12-17.

”We declare openly that the Arabs have no right to settle on even one centimeter of Eretz Israel…. Force is all they do or ever will understand. We shall use the ultimate force until the Palestinians come crawling to us on all fours … When we have settled the land, all the Arabs will be able to do will be to scurry around like drugged roaches in a bottle.“
~ Rafael Eitan, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defence Forces - Gad Becker, Yediot Ahronot, New York Times 1983-04-14

“The very point of Labor’s Zionist program is to have as much land as possible and as few Arabs as possible!”
~ Yitzhak Navon (“moderate” ex-Israeli president and a leading labor party politician.) Cited on p.179 of Nur Masalha’s A Land without a People who cites Bernard Avishai’s The Tragedy of Zionism 1985 p.340.

“I don’t sign orders to destroy the houses of Jews, only of Arabs,”
~ Haim Miller, deputy mayor of Jerusalem and acting mayor in Olmert’s absence, quoted in Yediot Aharonot, 1998-02-07.

“We must do everything to ensure they [the Palestinian refugees] never do return ”
~ David Ben Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel 1948-1963, in his diary, 1948-07-18, quoted in Michael Bar Zohar’s Ben-Gurion: the Armed Prophet, Prentice-Hall, 1967, p. 157.

”Here lies the saint, Doctor Baruch Kapal Goldstein, blessed be the memory of the righteous and holy man, may the Lord revenge his blood, who devoted his soul for the Jews, Jewish religion and Jewish land. His hands are clean and his heart is clear. He was killed as a martyr of God on the 14th of Adar, Purim, in the year 5754.“
~ inscription on the grave, (made as a shrine visited by pilgrims), of the mass murderer Baruch Goldstein. An American Physician and an Israeli settler of Hebron, Goldstein shot to death 29 worshippers kneeling in a mosque in 1994 before the crowd overpowered and killed him. As a doctor, he had been court-martialed for refusing to treat anyone who was not a Jew.

“Israel should keep the Araboushim [derogatory slang for Arabs] on a short leash, so that they recognise a whip is over their head. As long as not too many people are being visibly killed, then Western humanists will accept it all peacefully, and even ask ‘What is so terrible?’.“
~ Boaz Evron, Yediot Ahronot, 1982-12-02, Israeli writer and commentator.

“Israel is working on a biological weapon that would harm Arabs but not Jews, according to Israeli military and western intelligence sources… In developing their ‘ethno-bomb‘, Israeli scientists are trying to exploit medical advances by identifying genes carried by some Arabs, then create a genetically modified bacterium or virus. The intention is to use the ability of viruses and certain bacteria to alter the DNA inside their host’s living cells. The scientists are trying to engineer deadly micro-organisms that attack only those bearing the distinctive genes. The programme is based at the biological institute in Nes Tziyona, the main research facility for Israel’s clandestine arsenal of chemical and biological weapons. A scientist there said the task was hugely complicated because both Arabs and Jews are of semitic origin. But he added: ‘They have, however, succeeded in pinpointing a particular characteristic in the genetic profile of certain Arab communities, particularly the Iraqi people.’ The disease could be spread by spraying the organisms into the air or putting them in water supplies. The research mirrors biological studies conducted by South African scientists during the apartheid era and revealed in testimony before the truth commission. The idea of a Jewish state conducting such research has provoked outrage in some quarters because of parallels with the genetic experiments of Dr Josef Mengele, the Nazi scientist at Auschwitz.”
~ Uzi Mahnaimi and Marie Colvin, The Sunday Times [London, 1998-11-15]

Expansionism, Taking Territory from her Neighbours

Israelis assert a land claim on the “promised land” mentioned in their bible. It consists of Egypt east of the Nile, Iraq west of the Euphrates, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, the northern part of Saudi Arabia and Israel. They based this claim on the fact they are one of 20 groups who historically held part of this region and on the religious belief they are God’s chosen people, superior to all others. There have been 13 groups who have held the territory now called Israel since. Oddly the Zionist Jews making the claim are Ashkenazy Jews who descended from Eastern Europeans, who converted to Judaism, not descendants of the original Sephardic Jews. I consider the claim outrageous, preposterous and bogus. It is also insane in the strict legal sense of not being able to distinguish right from wrong.

This is the original source of all the violence in the region. Israel asserts title over this “promised land” area and the people who have been living there for centuries say nonsense, you don’t have legitimate title to even an acre, not even what the UN gave you in 1948. Israelis want to drive Arabs from the promised land and Arabs want to drive Jews out of it.

Israel’s Original UN allotment Israel’s land claim
Lands originally granted to Israel by the UN. Israel’s land claim as defined by Theodore Herzl, Zionism’s founder.
“We can never totally return to the indefensible pre-1967 borders, … We simply cannot afford to make Israel [9 miles] wide again at its center. We can’t allow the Palestinians to be a couple of [miles] from [Tel Aviv’s] Ben Gurion Airport in the age of shoulder-fire missiles with the capacity to shoot down jumbo jets. But that doesn’t mean we must remain in every corner of the West Bank or in Gaza, where fewer than 10,000 Jews, living next to 1.3 million Palestinians, have been protected by twice as many soldiers.”
~ Ehud Olmert, acting Prime Minister of Israel 2006-

“We can have peace, but if we continue to hold out, we can obtain more.”
General Haim Bar-Lev, quoted on page 166 of Hegemony Or Survival, where more meant the Sinai.

“It’s not a matter of maintaining the status quo. We have to create a dynamic state, oriented towards expansion.”
~ David Ben Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel 1948-1963

“Take the American declaration of Independence. It contains no mention of territorial limits. We are not obliged to fix the limits of the State.”
~ Moshe Dayan Defense Minister of Israel 1867-1974, (Jerusalem Post, 1967-08-10)

“Everybody has to move, run and grab as many hilltops as they can to enlarge the settlements because everything we take now will stay ours… Everything we don’t grab will go to them.”
~ Ariel Sharon, Prime Minister of Israel 2001-2006, Israeli Foreign Minister at the time, addressing a meeting of militants from the extreme right-wing Tsomet Party, Agence France Presse, 1998-11-15

Settling on Arab Lands

“We consider these settlements to be contrary to the Geneva Convention, that occupied territory should not be changed by establishment of permanent settlements by the occupying power.”
~ President Carter, 1980-0-13

“Without [the settlements] the IDF [Israeli Defense Force] would be a foreign army ruling a foreign population.”
~ Moshe Dayan, Defense Minister of Israel 1867-1974, (quoted in Aronson, Geoffrey, Settlements and the Israeli- Palestinian Negotiations; Institute for Palestinian Studies)

“The past leaders of our movement left us a clear message to keep Eretz Israel from the Sea to the River Jordan for future generations, for the mass aliya [immigration], and for the Jewish people, all of whom will be gathered into this country.”
~ Yitzhak Shamir Prime Minister of Israel 1983-1982, (Former Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir declares at a Tel Aviv memorial service for former Likud leaders Jerusalem Domestic Radio Service, November 1990)

“The settlement of the Land of Israel is the essence of Zionism. Without settlement, we will not fulfill Zionism. It’s that simple.”
~ Yitzhak Shamir Prime Minister of Israel 1983-1982, (Maariv, 1997-02-21)

“Jewish villages were built in the place of Arab villages. You do not even know the names of these Arab villages, and I do not blame you because geography books no longer exist. Not only do the books not exist, the Arab villages are not there either. Nahlal arose in the place of Mahlul; Kibbutz Gvat in the place of Jibta; Kibbutz Sarid in the place of Huneifis; and Kefar Yehushua in the place of Tal al-Shuman. There is not a single place built in this country that did not have a former Arab population.”
~ Moshe Dayan, Defense Minister of Israel 1867-1974, address to the Technion, Haifa, reported in Haaretz, April 4, 1969.

Arrogance

“Israel may have the right to put others on trial, but certainly no one has the right to put the Jewish people and the State of Israel on trial.”
~ Ariel Sharon, Prime Minister of Israel 2001-2006, to a U.S. commission investigating violence in Israel. 2001-03-25 quoted in BBC News Online

“A lie should be tried in a place where it will attract the attention of the world.”
~ Ariel Sharon, Prime Minister of Israel 2001-2006, 1984-11-20

“One of the chief tasks of any dialogue with the Gentile world is to prove that the distinction between anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism is not a distinction at all.”
~ Abba Eban, Foreign Minister of Israel, 1966-1974. This is like claiming if you detest black murderers you are prejudiced against all blacks. It is even as absurd as saying if you oppose the Iraq war you hate all white people.

I collected these quotations widely quoted on the Internet. I have not verified the sources.

Blame

I have a friend who is a dentist in Israel. He is terrified terrorists will kill his young sons. I wrote a computer program for the state of Israel to track its bond sales. It raises money for Israel by getting Jews all over the world to buy long term, low-interest bonds. So from my personal exposure, Israel seemed fairly benign. But when you look at the history, you discover that Israel is responsible for about 90% of the mess.
Israel stole every square inch of its territory with military violence and murder. Israelis are in deep denial about this. I can’t see any progress toward peace until Israelis get off their high horse, swallow their overbearding pride and ask forgiveness for stealing this land, and apologise for their mistreatment of the Palestinians, just as Americans have apologised for what they did to blacks, Canada for what they did to the First Nations people and Australia for what it did to the Aborigines. Israelis need to pay at least token compensation. They will never see peace if they continue as they are now pretending they never did anything wrong.

Lebanon

Long before the Lebanese invasion, the Israelis got permission from President Bush. Israel needed Lebanon’s water and fertile soil.
“The trebling of the population in this small and impoverished country, flowing with milk and honey but not with sufficient water, rich in rocks and sand dunes but poor in natural resources and vital raw materials, has been no easy task: Indeed, practical men, with their eyes fixed upon things as they are, regarded it as an empty and insubstantial utopian dream.”
~ David ben Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel, 1963-03-28
Iraq has most of the water in the region. That is one of the reasons the USA is occupying it. Whomever controls the water controls the middle east. The Israelis then used a pretext for the war, the capture of two POWs on Lebanese soil (according to the world neutral press, on Israeli soil according to the US press) which the Israelis called “kidnappings” and proceded to bomb Lebanon, targeting primarily civilians. Houses, churches, roads, bridges, hospitals, ambulances, fleeing car convoys, schools were are all destroyed. There is very little left standing. The Israels spent $6000000000.00 USD on bombs. They primarily targeted homes, apartments, schools and hospitals in an attempt to kill as many children as possible. To make the deaths of the children more agonising, the Israelis used banned weapons, white phosphorus and cluster bombs. A rocket unit commander testified the IDF fired about 1,800 banned cluster bombs, containing over 1.2 million cluster bomblets. The cluster rounds which don’t detonate on impact, believed by the United Nations to be around 40% of those fired by the IDF in Lebanon, remain on the ground as unexploded munitions, effectively littering the landscape with thousands of land mines which will continue to claim victims long after the war has ended. Israel’s Lieutenant-General Dan Halutz, Israel’s chief of staff has ordered a full investigation into the use of cluster bombs.

To ensure generations yet unborn would suffer with hideous birth defects, the Israelis also used DU depleted uranium which is contaminating Lebanon for all generations to come. Hizb’allah retaliated with its own terrorism, shooting rockets into Israel that killed 8 railway workers, a mother and her son, and 52-year old man on a bicycle. The main effect of the rockets was to pin northern Israelis in bomb shelters without electricity or air conditioning. Here you see Israeli soldiers planting an Israeli flag on Lebanese soil in triumph.

The Future

I can’t see any resolution to the Palestinian question coming soon, unless you call nuclear war a resolution. Both sides are resolute in eliminating the other in a revenge spiral. There are similarities to what happened when the Europeans invaded North America. Using force of arms, the Europeans butchered the native people and stole their lands. They forced them onto ghettos (called reservations) on the poorest land. White people seriously believed rascist ideas like “The only good injun is a dead injun”. The natives fought back, scalping the invaders. Even during the 1960s, television dramas vilified natives as savages with an irrational hatred of white people. This is exactly what the Jews are doing to the Palestinians today. In the 1990s the descendants of the invading Europeans acknowledged the barbarity of their ancestors, and started to negotiate financial compensation for the lands they stole. Perhaps in another century the descendants of the Jewish invaders will similarly acknowledge the greed, brutality and racism of their ancestors, though no amount of money though could undo a century of oppression.

Resolution

The essential problem is the Jews see themselves as utterly innocent victims even though they kill 20 Palestinians for every Jew killed. They have a religious myth that justfies stealing land and their apartheid system. They are similar to Nazis with their master race beliefs that they are God's chosen people and the that the Muslims are dirt whose sole function in to serve them. They are much like the whites in apartheid South Africa. The first task is to hold up a mirror and force them to see themselves for the insufferable bastards they are.

Then they might be softened up to negotiate a settlement. It might be modeled on the land claims of the native people in Canada. The Palestinians should get their own land, some political autonomy, and at least token financial compensation for the land stolen. Perhaps even more important are the formal apologies. Then you might have a Truth and Reconciliation commission, much like South Africa to expose and apologise for the atrocities committed on both sides.

Consider the phases Canada went through. For the centuries the white people vilified the aboriginals. They never mentioned any evil deeds of the whites. They pretended that North America was empty, waiting for occupation. All attacks by the aboriginals on the whites were described as savage and irrational. “The only good Injun is a dead Injun” The Jews in Israel are still in this vilifying-the-victim stage. The aboriginals were herded onto reservations and kept in poverty. Aboriginals did not have full citizenship. They were patronised and treated like children. The Jews treat the Palestinians even worse, micromanaging their lives almost like modern day slaves. Over time the full story of the disgusting theft of land came to light and the dirty deeds of Canada’ white invaders, such as deliberately spreading smallpox. That softened modern day Canadians up to making amends. The aboriginals only requested a token compensation for the original crime. Mostly what they wanted was a change in attitude. They wanted respect. Hopefully the same thing will happen to the Jews and Palestinians. Today when I go to a public gathering it is common for some aboriginal to stand up and say something like, “We welcome you all to this traditional Songhees land.” We acknowledge the injustice of our forefathers and the repercussions over time, and that appears to be sufficient.

The alternative is escalating violence so that the Jews gradually leave. There are only 4 million of them. This group of fanatics hold the world nuclear hostage. It will be a Good Thing™ if they are disbanded. It would not be hard to find welcoming homes for them all over the globe. This is already happening gradually. Nobody in their right mind would want to live in a police state like Israel where their kids could be blown up any time they went outside.

Former President Jimmy Carter explains what he figures is holding back peace in the middle east. He puts the blame of a minority of Israeli leaders who insist on occupying Palestinian lands, in violation of half a dozen treaties. He points out that ordinary Israeli citizens are not the problem. They want to negotiate a fair settlement. He suggests that Israel bombing 6000 sites in Lebanon for the kidnapping of two soldiers by a rogue group was “excessive”. Most Americans consider his comments extremely left wing, but that is because America as a country is right wing, where nearly all Americans hold views to the right of all people in other countries. Further Americans are extremely biased toward Israel because of the successful lobbying and propaganda efforts of AIPAC.

Ilan Pappe uses recently declassified archival sources to investigate the fate suffered by the indigenous population of 1940s Palestine at the hands of the Zionist political and military leadership, whose actions led to the mass deportation of over a million Palestinians from their cities and villages, over 400 villages wiped from the map, and hundreds of civilians dead. Pappe argues persuasively, that the continued denial of the ethnic cleansing of Palestine in 1948 and the consequent dispossession of a million native Palestinians from their homeland represents a gross injustice that requires redress.

Take Action

It is impossible to avoid bias toward one side or the other, but you can still work to end the war by taking away the gasoline (the money) that fuels the violence. Here are some things you can do:
  1. Convince your friends or relatives living in Israel or Lebanon to leave and come live in Canada or other countries where they will be safe and welcome.
  2. If you are a Canadian, write your federal politicians to have Israel declared a terrorist state. By killing Lebanese children with banned weapons (white phosphorus and cluster bombs), Israel easily fits the legal definition. Once that happens, it will be illegal to provide “material support” to Israel. Most importantly, it would become illegal to purchase State of Israel low interest long term bonds. I wrote a computer program for the state of Israel to track such bond sales in Canada. It is common for well-meaning prominent Jews to buy over a million dollars worth and for people to given them to children at heir their bar/bat mitzvah. Israel uses the enormous amount of money the bonds raise for funding its military and apartheid system.

Of lesser importance, ask your federal politicians to rethink the official “terrorist organisation” status of Hizb’allah. It is a political party that holds seats in the Lebanese parliament. It was originally formed to oust the Israelis who occupied Lebanon for two decades starting in 1982. They primarily fought Israeli soldiers, so are properly a resistance movement not a terrorist organisation. Terrorists are people who target civilians. With that change in status, it will again be legal to speak out in support of Hizb’allah’s cause. The B’nai Brith are intimidating people such as myself with legal prosecution for championing Hizb’allah’s case.

Write or email your Member of the federal Canadian Parliament or any other Member of Parliament or
Stephen Harper (I can’t bear to call that homophobic bigot and Bush asskisser the Prime Minister).

Only mail sent to the House of Commons in Ottawa (that is, House of Commons, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0A6) is eligible. Just write the letters O.H.M.S. where you would normally put a stamp.

  3. If you are an American, your goal might be more modest, to corral the power of AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Write your federal politicians to get it registered as a foreign lobby. Right now it enjoys all the privileges of a domestic lobby even though it represents the interests of a foreign country. You could always ask that Israel, which is a relatively prosperous country with a billion dollar surplus, not be given fully 1/3 of America’s foreign aid budget, but that the money be given to countries in greater need. Israel squanders that aid on the military and their apartheid system to oppress the Palestians.

  5. Israel has the most skillful lobbyists and fund raisers on the planet. I have worked with them, and I greatly admire their skill, dedication, and meticulous attention to detail. So I suspect politicians will be relatively impervious to calls to do anything Israel does not like. You have to be tough, and tell the politicians if they don’t stop being poodles for Israel, you won’t vote for them. You will try someone else who might have a bit more backbone. You are not asking them to hurt Israel, just treat her and her neighbours even handedly, and work to end the occupation of Lebanon.
  6. The boycott. This is the most powerful technique of all. Stop buying Israeli products. These include:
  7. Every square inch the Israeli Jews live on they stole. There is no way such an injustice ever can be papered over. Even a two state solution will not put out the flames of resentment over Israeli land theft and cruel treatment of the Palestinians. The solution is to repatriate the Jews to safe homes for them all over the world, and return all of Israel to the Palestinians. It is not nearly as drastic as it sounds. There are only 4 million Jews in Israel. The other approach that might work is what was done in South Africa — one man, one vote. Since Palestinians outnumber Jews, Jews could not continue to bully the Palestinians. The reverse might happen, leading to a gradual exodus, which would also be an acceptable long-term solution.
