Deliberate Blindness

The Qur’an erroneously states that fresh and salt water do not mix. You can take a group of Muslims to watch a river enter the ocean, or perform an experiment in the lab to demonstrate this is not so. However, they will still insist fresh and salt water do not mix. They are so afraid of social disapproval and violence from fellow Muslims, they will lie about what they just saw. Further, I have heard Muslims citing this lack of mixing as proof of the divine scientific wisdom of the Qur’an. It is like crazies hammering nails into their heads to keep themselves stupid.
