Instead of typing a long sequence to identify yourself to the computer you call, you teach your computer to do it for you automatically. There is quite a bit more to it than simply recording your keystrokes. You must take into account the timing, all the variations in what the other computer might say to you, and recovering from errors. You will almost certainly need the assistance of an expert to write some scripts for you.

Java version 1.6 or later has special scripting support.
