RTP
RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol). A wrapper around a real time stream of video or audio data. It is delivered usually via UDP (User Datagram Protocol), which is faster than a socket, but which sometimes loses packets. It is commonly used to transmit surveillance video. There are a great many formats supported within RTP framing.RFC 3550 describes the protocol.
