RasterMaster : Java Glossary

RasterMaster
Snowbound Software’s rasterising package for Java. It lets you save images in the following formats:
ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange), BMP (Bitmap), CALS, DIB, DICOM, EPS (Encapsulated Post Script), EXIF, FileNet, GIF (Graphic Interchange Format), (interlaced/non-interlaced), IOCA, JBIG2, JEDMICS, JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group), JPEG2000, MO:DCA, MS Word, NCR (National Cash Register) PCL (Printer Control Language) Writing, PDF (Portable Document Format), *.png, PTOCA and TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) (a variety of subformats).

RasterMaster does more than just save images in various formats. It does scanning, viewing, conversion, manipulation, annotation, printing, and saving. You can incorporate it into your own product.

There is a companion viewer product called VirtualViewer, née FlexSnap, to let people view and annotate a wide variety of images in their browsers.
