JSTL
JSTL (Java Server Pages Standard Tag Library) is both a Sun standard and an opensource Apache/Jakarta project. It runs in a JSP (Java Server Pages) servlet womb such as Tomcat. It is a library of JSP tag functions. So instead of writing Java in your JSP like this:
