IMAP
A mailbox accessing procotol not to be confused with MAPI IMAP stands for Internet Message Access Protocol. IMAP is a method of accessing electronic mail or bulletin board messages that are kept on a (possibly shared) mail server. It works better than POP3 when you access your mail account from several different computers.
