IIOP
IIOP (Invocation over Internet Inter-Orb Protocol). This protocol that makes it possible for distributed programs written in different programming languages to communicate over the Internet. IIOP is the low-level protocol for CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture), CORBA. It is also an alternate low-level protocol for RMI (Remote Method Invocation).
