ICMP
ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol). A low level Internet protocol, part of IP (Internet Protocol) protocol. It is not for sending data around, but rather control messages between the servers. Primarily they report errors, e.g. unreachable hosts, congestion, routing requests, overly long routes.
