We have gone 63 years with both sides sabotaging the peace process in Palestine. American president Harry Truman used the atomic bomb just out of spite. Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama each risked nuclear war for relatively minor gains. They all come by this behaviour honestly. Males of all species compete for the attentions of females. They can’t help but fight with each other for dominance. The people who rise in political leadership are the most dominant. They are like human pit bulls. (It is also why they have so much trouble with sex scandals. That is just the nature of alpha males.) This suggests we won’t have world peace until male dominance of politics is overthrown.
