DSA
Digital Signature Algorithm. A type of code-signing certificate used in Java 1.2+. It replaces the older RSA certificate used in the proprietary Netscape jar-signing scheme. DSA-signed Applets refer to the Sun Java 1.2 jar signing scheme. Sun-style RSA-signed Applets were introduced Java 1.3 and have now largely replaced the DSA scheme.
