Religious Vaccination Exceptions
I contend the religious objections to vaccination are bogus. There were no such thing as vaccines 2000 years ago. No mainstream religion could possibly have a long-standing objection.
Further, just because you believe in sky fairies and crackers that turn into putrefied corpses, it should not rate a get-out-of-jail-free card for attempted murder on your neighbours. When you refuse to vaccinate, you endanger people who cannot vaccinate for valid medical reasons (i.e. compromised immune system). Their right to life trumps your right to be silly. In a similar way, we no longer permit Christians to stone homosexuals to death, even though their religion unequivocally commands it.~ Roedy (1948-02-04 age:70)
