Being married to (past tense) a special forces green beret soldier that was deployed 3 plus × — I can validate every item bulleted in support of the argument made. Ultimately, I think he was attracted to my light, my glowing energy and then he drained every bit of it from me — changing my life force — I will never be the bright, shiny, bubbly, bouncing girl I once was. I don’t get it, I just don’t get it — these men should never marry or have children — they know this — and still…
Furthermore, I believe that PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) applies to military spouses as well as the soldiers — the psychological consequences of the exposure to these men are, to say the least, difficult to navigate — I search desperately and still haven’t found the path to a former self or at least a "healthy" self.
…please yes — post it and no need to be anonymous. Also my grandfather (one who I admire through and through) was a POW (Prisoner Of War) in WW II for years. Upon his release and consequent return he stated the following during the Vietnam war:… “I fought for the right for these individuals to be able to burn the flag.” I have read much of the feedback that has been posted in response to your views and I am appalled at the by the (especially the individuals in opposition of) ability to debate… i.e. “anal seepage”… right… I am going to give an individual that uses “you are… a piece of slimy rectal/anal seepage ever” credibility [sarcastic]! Learn how to effectively debate ignorant military associates (most are, not all) and I will listen!

Your readers will not be able to tell if you simply picked a rotten partner, or if picking any soldier would likely have been equally unwise. Was his choice of profession as a soldier indicative he was already a bad choice or did it make him a bad choice? Just what did he do that he would likely not have done had he not been a soldier?
