HERVs

All humans have HERVs (human endogenous retroviruses) [ancient viruses embedded our DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) ] in our cells — lots of them — about 443,000, which is a about twenty-two times the number of genes we have. They constitute 8.29% of our DNA.
