Adultery: A Fact Of Life

One in 400 fraternal twin pairs have different fathers. 1 in 5 children, when tested with DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) prove to have a different father than the official one. Because females are more likely to use birth control with lovers than husbands, the amount of philandering is even higher than these statistics suggest. Humans are like other primates. The males work hard to keep their females from mating with anyone but them and females want a variety of fathers for their offspring to ensure at least one survives. Yet our culture pretends that humans are monogamous and couples are obligated to divorce on discovery of even a single instance of adultery. Even gays sometimes fall into this folly.
